History

1877 Built as fishing tug for salt water fishing trade in Portland, ME & Baltimore, MD.

1888, Jul 22 Brought to Buffalo, NY by A. Booth & Co., Chicago, IL; rebuilt, Chicago to haul passengers & fish; housed in with 2 decks; 155.59 gross / 112.49 net tons; ran Cheboygan, MI & Manistique, MI then ran Duluth, MN, Lake Superior; cargo general merchandise.

1891 Rebuilt Burger Shipyard, Manitowoc, WI; 133.6 x 19.6 x 7.3'; 224.83 gross / 181.10 net tons; 15 + 20 x 22" steeple compound engine, Montague Iron Works, Montague, MI; 8 x 12 1/2' firebox boiler; returned to Duluth.

1898, Oct Ran into raft of logs in gale; lost all propeller blades; towed to Duluth for repairs.

1902 Replaced by larger steamers; ran south shore Lake Superior.

1904, Oct 4 Owned Booth Packing Co., burned Lake Superior.
