1840, Aug 4 Burst boiler, Detroit River; six killed.

1840, Aug Sank schooner IOWA in collision on Lake Erie.

1841, Aug 9 Burned & sank off Silver Creek, Lake Erie; up to 253 lost, 27 survivors.

1844 Boilers, some machinery & other articles recovered.

1854, Jun 6 Hull raised & towed to Buffalo.
