History

1873, Nov 4 Launched; recieved engine, boiler & cabin of MANITOWOC, originally from MAY QUEEN; will ply Chicago, Milwaukee & ports north; accomodates 180 passengers.

1876 Collision with schooner LEO near Chicago Harbor.

1882 Owned Kenesha, WI.

1884 920 passenger capacity.

1886 Runs daily Chicago, IL - Milwaukee, WI.

1893, Oct 3 Beached at Racine, WI in dense fog.

1895 Rebuilt.

1912 Steel floating drydock at Manitowoc broke free & crashed into CHICAGO & SHEBOYGAN, damaging each.

1915 Last season of operation, freight only.

1917 Condemned; owned by Manitowoc Ship Building Co., who converted it into a floating boarding house, moored on Manitowoc River for it's employees.

1919, Jun 30 Abandoned, stripped & beached.
