1873 One source states built as ALVINA, C91879 - later renamed MICHIGAN.

1884 Dismantled at Detroit, MI, engines to new steamer LANSDOWNE, (1884) & to PRINGLE, W.H. (being rebuilt).

1885 Rebuilt as 4 mast scow schooner by F.W. Gilchrist, Alpena, MI; 271.2' x 41.8' x 15.6', 1290 gross tons; US91847.

1885, Oct 21 4 spars put in, wire rope standing rigging, hull painted black.

1886, Jun 23 Enrolled Port Huron, MI.

1887, Aug 8 In tow of steamer HALL, S.C., went on south reef at Bailey's Harbor.

1890 Broke in two in loading accident, Chicago, IL.

1890, Jun 4 In tow of VIKING, stranded Eagle Harbor, MI; released Jun 7th.

1891, Jul Sunk after breaking in two after improper unloading at Chicago.

1893, Sep 23 In tow of CITY OF NAPLES, foundered, Lake Superior.
