History

1897 Brought in record cargo of nearly six tons of Lake Trout, record held until 1902.

1905, May Rescued crew of William T. Rend that stranded on Manitou Island, tip of Keweena.

1917, May Trapped in ice near Sugarloaf Mountain along with tug COLUMBIA, some of crew walked ice to Little Presque Isle for aprovisions.

1920 A red hot rivet or sparks during boiler repair started fire; extensive damage; no insurance.
