Broad Family Collection [Henry K. Gustin Business Papers]

Henry Killmaster Gustin (1868-1946) was a widely known lawyer, businessman, and landowner in Northeast Michigan. Some of his business interests and accomplishments were as follows: served as Alpena City Attorney, promoted organization of Alpena County Road Commission, promoted Alpena Chamber of Commerce reorganization, helped secure Avery and Potter Parks for the city, instrumental in bringing the Boyne City, Gaylord and Alpena Railroad to Alpena, organized Huron Shores Good Roads Association that promoted building of US-23, served in Michigan State Legislature, head of Relief Committee after the Metz Fire in 1908, traveled to Fiji, Australia, and Cuba on business.
